These earrings are asymmetical due to the fact that they are made from one single sustainably source African Cape porcupine (Hystrix africaeaustralis) quill rather than matching up two separate quills. They are mounted in .22 caliber bullet casings. Hung on handmade hammered brass hooks. Approximately 3" in length.
Please note: natural color and length variation occurs in each quill, the pair you receive will be similar to the pair pictured, but not identical.
Single Quill Earrings
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, and is not irritating for most skin types. It also has the natural ability to tarnish and antique in the most beautiful way, much like wine gets better with time! If you don't like the antiqued look, you can use a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your brass shiny and yellow!
We will do our best to fill you in on how to best keep your jewelry in tip top shape and want to provide you with the best product possible. However, we cannot be responsible for poor jewelry care.
